Thomas has an extensive background in the private and public investment industry. He is the founder and CEO of Rise Financial Partners whose vision is to see intergenerational transformation through Kingdom-minded communities, economies, and marketplaces. Prior to founding Rise Financial Partners, Thomas spent seven years at a global investment firm where he educated financial advisors and institutional investors how to build better portfolios with alternative investments, such as commercial real estate. His most recent role was the Director of Institutional Distribution and Research where he helped develop investing strategies designed to create strong uncorrelated returns. Thomas and his teams were responsible for raising over $400 Million in private investment strategies.
Thomas’ passion is helping others. He frequently provides insights to other financial service members and has been quoted by industry publications such as InvestmentNews, LendingTree, MarketWatch, Morningstar, and Time. Thomas is a member of several financial professional networks dedicated to sharing best practices and providing the highest level of service to their clients, including: the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), Fee-Only Network, and XY Planning Network.
Thomas is very active within his church community. He was responsible for the development and leadership of his church’s security team and has led multiple Bible studies since 2005. He served on four 10-day missions trips to the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Peru (2x) in order to help communities with education, health, and construction initiatives. Thomas has also served as the Executive Director of the ManaSota Christian Community Foundation.
Thomas attended the University of Central Florida where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and was invited to speak at their Business School to educate students on trends in the financial advising sector. He has passed FINRA's Series 7, 63, and 66 exams and is a candidate for Level II of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.
In his free time, Thomas enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, golfing, and volunteering in his community. He is not afraid to roll up his sleeves to help a neighbor, friend, or a random person on the sidewalk.
